Light and darkness

By Andrada Costoiu

Wrapped in the blanket of a dream,
Beneath closed eyelids
Light conquers all.

Windows breath the smell of rain,
The dome of St. Paul’s brushes shoulders with a cloud.

You, love master,
Compress the space between us both,
Until there are no boundaries.

Your hands move life with passion,
Only they can speak,
Of the redolence of a want,
That comes from absolute.

Stay.
The thought that we are mortals does not apply….

Stay,
In this world that springs from the deepest corner of my spirit.

I am trying with a burning despair to keep you,
For beneath the closed eyelids,
Light conquers all.
