Stories are always being written, they were written in the past and they will be written as long as humankind will exist. Here I set foot in a place with ancient memories, in the Medieval Citadel of Severinului – a place where stories have been written for 1000 years.

The Severin Fortress was built, most probably, between 1247-1250, by the Order of the Knights of Ioannit.

It is the first stone fortress in Romanian space. Here Mircea the Elder signed a treaty of anti-Ottoman alliance in 1406.

Long time since we messaged each other, Andrada, but I want to go to Romania so bad! I hope to visit my Moldovan friend in Vienna in November and she said she might plan something in Romania. Enjoyed “Wounds I Healed,” btw, and I’m in touch with Gabriela about my own poetry. :) Gary

Hi Gary, glad to hear from you ! I enjoyed that book too-Gabriela is wonderful! I don’t have time for writing anymore- I traveled a lot and I’m also working to get my commercial pilot license. You should definitely go to Romania, it’s really beautiful!
